Although siting of uncommon or rare species is not guaranteed, the guides will tour specific habitats where these birds may be likely to occur during the season. These walking trips lead participants through specific vegetation communities and the birds that occupy them.

High Chaparral & Fir Forest.
Trailheads: Sentinel Dome or Siesta Lake
Possible Species: Green TAiled Towhee, Fox Sparrow, Pileated Woodpecker, Blue Grouse, Yellow Warbler, Red-Breasted Nuthatch.

Meadows & Mixed Conifer Forest.
Trailheads: Crane Flat/Hogdon Meadow
Possible Species: Vaux's Swift, Great Gray Owl, Willow Flycatcher, Western Tanager, Hermit Warbler, Evening Grosbeak.

Subalpine Meadows & Lodgepole Forest.
Trailhead: Lembert Dome
Possible Species: Mountain Chickadee, Townsend's Solitaire, Red Crossbills, Mountain Bluebird, Pine Grosbeak, Williamson's Sapsucker, Dusky Flycatcher.

Alpine Meadows & Fell Fields.
Trailheads: Tioga Pass
Possible Species: Rock Wren, Townsend's Solitaire, Red Crossbills, Rosy Finch, Mountain Bluebird, Peregrine Falcon, Horned Lark, Golden Eagle, White Tailes Parmigan.
