Yosemite has one of the richest
floras of any National Park. Blooming season begins in the low western
edge of the park in March and lasts until early September along the eastern
crest. These walking tours into forests and meadows introduce hikers to
a wide diversity of flowering plants. Instruction is provided on how to
identify flowers including use of field guides. Guides explain the intricate
roll of pollinators and share how flowers got their names and other lore.
