Welcome to the Sierra Guides Alliance(SGA), a co-operative of mountain guides. We organize high quality human powered adventures. We operate as a program design and marketing collective of the most experienced mountain guides in the Sierra. All programs operate under permit from the U.S. Forest Service or the National Park Service. Many of our guides have held leadership positions in and are certified by, the Professional Ski Instructors Association (PSIA), the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). and the Association of Avalanche Professionals(AAP). Just another set of frameworks around learning and FUN!

The mission of Sierra Guides Alliance is to:

facilitate access to mountain experiences and mountain environments

design services and programs that are ecologically sustainable

 

provide access to people who have not traditionally been able to afford such experiences

The Sierra Guides Alliance connects the growing number of climbing and backcountry skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts with adventurous,interesting and ecologically sustainable programs using the most experienced guides in America. The SGA utilizes existing programs offered by outfitters and individuals and also designs new, innovativeoutdoor experiences for a variety of clientele including urban youth. SGA programs are unique, sensitively priced, and focused on intimate, high quality, customer oriented service.
