High Country Trails
| On high country trails hikers
encounter another Yosemite of mountain peaks, wildflower gardens, and permanent
snowfields. All of these high elevation walks leave from trail heads in
the Tuolumne Meadows area. Yosemite Guides offers a variety of hikes based
on distance and difficulty.

Gaylor Lakes.
Cross a steep ridge to a hidden lake basin with one of a
kind views of the Cathedral range and a rich array of geologic features.
Moderate-Strenuous, 6 hours, 4 miles. Cathedral Lakes. Ascend
a forested trail to high lakes at the base of monolithic Cathedral Peak
and explore it's alpine meadows.
Waterfalls of the Tuolumne. Descend
a forested trail along the Tuolumne River to view a myriad of cascades
and waterfalls and delve into Yosemite's geologic history.
Lembert Dome. Hike through
forest to the top of a classic granitic dome to attain a superb view of
geologic features of the Tuolumne Meadows region.
